Another famous natural treasure of St. Lucie is the St. Lucie River, also used for boating and fishing. You can also do bird and animal watching here as the river is home to over 4,000 plant and animal species.
Fancy a little sunbathing? When the weather is warmer, head over to the pristine and uncrowded beaches of St. Lucie which is 21 miles long. All beaches in St. Lucie is free and adequately equipped with public amenities such as bathrooms, dune walkovers, and pavilions.
For a taste of some arts and culture, there’s plenty to see and experience at St. Lucie County. Fiber artists, sculptors, and painters call this town their home. There’s the Treasure Coast Theater, McAlpin Fine Arts Theatre, and Sunrise Theater to indulge in some performing and visual arts.
Of course, no journey is complete without some food and drink to end the day, and St. Lucie is no exception. The historic streets of St. Lucie are host to a variety of restaurants, bars, and cafes such as Uncle Carlo’s Gelato, Spiro’s Taverna, and Lola’s Seafood Eatery.
